MKE 2019, Week 11

We frequently hear it said, “A very distressing situation came into my life, which could not have been the result of my thought, as I certainly never entertained any thought which could have such a result.” We fail to remember that like attracts like in the mental world, and that the thought which we entertain brings to us certain friendships, companionships of a particular kind, and these in turn bring about conditions and environment, which in turn are responsible for the conditions of which we complain.

Charles Haane, ‘The Master Key System’, Part XI

How often have I not looked back and seen clearly how a situation had evolved, baffled by the logical and inevitable development and stunned by the fact that I couldn’t see it coming. If You’re anything like me You know what I’m talking about here, right?

So, by analyzing any situation in hindsight, we can gain an understanding of how it progressed, see our part in the development and take away an important lesson that not only allows us to accept responsibility for the past result and our own part in the creating it, yet also, and more important, learn from history and avoid creating the same situation again.

I’m sure You agree that the difficulty here is mainly our universal tendency to avoid looking too deep into our own past mistakes and so it takes dedication to self-discovery, courage, tenacity and lots of love to overcome that tendency!

What do You think? How has this changed for You during the experience so far?
